Boiler
Feed Water Treatment
The process through which the
dissolved gases are removed from water is called "Deaeration". The
equipment, which is used in this method, is called "Deaerator".
Why
do we use deaerators?...
Deaeration process is generally used to control
corrosion in specific systems. The presence of dissolved gases, particularly
oxygen and carbon dioxide, causes accelerated corrosion. The dissolved carbon
dioxide in water forms a weak carbonic acid which attacks the metal in feed
systems, boiler or condensate system. One of the most serious aspects of oxygen
corrosion is that it occurs as pitting. https://lnkd.in/gHAyyrV
